The comparison of age- and sex-specific alteration in pubic bone microstructure: A cross-sectional cadaveric study
CONCLUSION: Our data suggest that age-associated deterioration in trabecular and cortical pubic bone micro-architecture could unravel a morphological basis for decreased pubic bone strength and increased pubic bone fragility, which leads to fracture predilection in the elderly women.
