Applying the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, Sustainment (EPIS) Framework to Safe Surgery 2020 Implementation in Tanzania ’s Lake Zone

Safe Surgery 2020 implementation in Tanzania ’s Lake Zone was examined through the EPIS implementation framework. The Exploration phase revealed the need for a multicomponent intervention to improve surgical quality. The Preparation phase identified how to build a receptive climate. The Active Implementation phase found improvements in teamw ork and organizational learning.
