Hyperglycemia at admission, comorbidities, and in-hospital mortality in elderly patients hospitalized in internal medicine wards: data from the RePoSI Registry

ConclusionsThe stronger predictors of in-hospital mortality for older patients admitted in general wards were glycemia level  ≥ 250 mg/dL, Barthel Index ≤ 40, CIRS-SI, and male sex.
