Teens prescribed opioids for longer periods at higher doses at increased misuse risk, study says

Teens and young adults at high risk for abusing opioid painkillers tend to start taking the drugs for longer periods and at higher doses, as prescribed by their doctor, a JAMA Network Open study found.
