NIH funding funneling through UAB for retina, organ research
Two grants have been secured by UAB researchers from the National Institutes of Health.
A professor in the School of Optometry at UAB has received a grant renewal of $464,046, and a professor in the transplant division is receiving $3.2 million.
Timothy Kraft, a professor and interim associate dean for research in the school, received the grant renewal with the intention to produ ce a comprehensive characterization of cone photoreceptor physiology in cone-dominated animals, including primates.…
