The feasibility of circulating tumor DNA analysis as a marker of recurrence in triple-negative breast cancer
In conclusion, the present study evaluated a high-sensitivity detection system for frequently mutated genes that was also applicable for cell-free DNA. The PI3K/AKT pathway was revealed to be activated in patients harboring PIK3CA H1047R and AKT1 E17K mutations; therefore, the PI3K/AKT pathway may be a promising candidate for targeted therapy in these patients.PMID:33841581 | PMC:PMC8020385 | DOI:10.3892/ol.2021.12681
