Specialists in the field of reproductive medicine are consistently striving to improve pregnancy outcomes of in  vitro fertilization (IVF), and they aim to achieve this goal by following evidence-based recommendations. However, when evidence is limited, there can be an inclination to perform interventions during IVF that “might help and won’t hurt.” There may be a tendency to consider such adjuvant the rapies when preparing for and performing embryo transfer (ET) because of the high stakes associated with this part of the IVF process.
