Best time for frozen embryo transfer? There ’s no time like the present
In vitro fertilization with frozen embryo transfer (FET) has become increasingly common due to advances in cryopreservation techniques, reassuring safety data, and increasing evidence that FET may lead to more favorable perinatal and live birth outcomes compared with fresh embryo transfer. Thus, the “freeze-all strategy,” i.e., selectively freezing all embryos and performing FET later, has become a popular choice. However, there is limited evidence available regarding the ideal timing for subsequent FET.
