Physical Activity
The higher cardiovascular disease (CVD) morbidity and mortality in African Americans (AAs) is caused by numerous physiological, environmental, and socioeconomic factors. In addition, physical activity (PA) has been demonstrated to have significant cardiovascular health benefits.1 However, the impact of physical inactivity on diverse CVD in AAs must be contextualized within other risk factors and the social determinants of health (SDoH).
