Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is a rare liver disorder, characterized by slow progression of cholestasis and the development of liver cirrhosis. Most patients are middle aged woman; the ratio of women to men has been reported to be 6.1:1.0.1 Primary biliary cholangitis patients are often asymptomatic or only general fatigue when diagnosed. However, in some cases, the primary biliary cholangitis patients present with symptoms of being similar to malignancies, which makes diagnosis difficult.
