Quantification and mapping of cerebral hemodynamics before and after carotid endarterectomy, using 4D flow MRI

Carotid stenosis can profoundly impact cerebral hemodynamics that cannot simply be inferred from the degree of stenosis. We quantified and mapped the distribution of blood flow rate in cerebral arteries before and after carotid endarterectomy using four-dimensional phase-contrast magnetic resonance imaging (4D flow MRI).
