The 25th SBAS Presidential Address: Tools for success in academic surgery

It has been my distinct honor to serve you as the 25th President of the Society of Black Academic Surgeons. I can't properly express to you how humbled I am to serve as your President. This is an exceptional honor and a coveted highlight in my academic career. I had planned to address you in person but due to the unprecedented and extraordinary circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the 30th Annual Scientific Assembly of SBAS has been canceled, and so I appreciate your indulgence to accept my Presidential Address by video.
