Axillary Cystic Hygroma

A term male newborn, following an uncomplicated vaginal delivery (birth weight 3840g) and Apgar scores of 6 and 9 at one minute and five minutes, respectively, was referred to our hospital for evaluation of an 8 x 7 x 7 cm mass was found in the left axillary area, extending to the left anterior chest wall (Figure 1). The mass revealed a soft, compressible, normal skin color, without any bruiting, and having a characteristic transillumination (Figure 2); otherwise, the physical examination was unremarkable.
