Increasing Reoperations and Failures with Increasing BMI in Patients Undergoing 2-Stage Exchange for Infected Total Hip Arthroplasty
While morbid obesity is associated with increased infection following THA, little is known on the outcomes following 2-stage reimplantation for PJI in this population. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of morbid obesity (BMI>40 kg/m2) on re-infection, postoperative complications, readmissions, and reoperations.
