Heterogeneity of PD-L1 expression in lung adenocarcinoma metastasis is related to histopathological subtypes
Lung adenocarcinoma is the most frequent primary tumor of the lungs often discovered at the stage of metastasis. Lung adenocarcinoma is often composed of different subtypes with distinct architectural patterns. Most lung adenocarcinomas are composed of at least two histopathological patterns and were formerly recognized in the 2004 World Health Organization (WHO) classification as mixed subtype[1]. Lung adenocarcinomas metastases are also frequently composed of different histopathological patterns[2].
