Author Reply to “Regarding ‘The Effect of Combined Anterolateral and Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction on Reducing Pivot Shift Rate and Clinical Outcomes: A Meta-analysis’”

We really appreciate Saithna et  al’s constructive comments on our meta-analysis. Our article1 included six clinical trials with high-level evidence comparing the clinical outcomes between combined anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), anterolateral ligament reconstruction (ALLR), and isolated ACLR. We concluded tha t combined procedures could effectively augment knee rotatory stability by reducing pivot shift rate and moderately improve patients’ clinical outcomes. However, the effect of ALLR on overall graft rupture rate cannot be confirmed.
