Buprenorphine Induction in Primary Care Using an In-Office Approach

Opioid use disorder is an under-recognized and undertreated clinical problem frequently encountered in primary care. Buprenorphine is an efficacious medication that can be safely and easily initiated in a busy, primary care setting to treat opioid use disorder. The following report provides the classic presentation of opioid use disorder with a practical approach to transition from methadone to buprenorphine using an in-office induction.
