Skin-associated lymphoid tissue could be a sign of systemic disease: reply from authors

Br J Dermatol. 2021 Feb 22. doi: 10.1111/bjd.19884. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTWe thank Dr. Wang for pointing out that Castleman disease and cutaneous plasmacytosis are potential differential diagnoses1 in our case2 . In general, Castleman disease and cutaneous plasmacytosis typically manifest as a "Christmas tree-like" distribution of dark brownish nodules on the trunk. In addition, the histopathology exhibits dense plasma cell accumulation in the dermis in Castleman disease and cutaneous plasmacytosis, which was not observed in our case.PMID:33615442 | DOI:10.1111/bjd.19884
