Proton Pump Inhibitor Exposure and Acute Myocardial Infarction Risk: A Nested Cohort Study

CONCLUSIONS: Our study demonstrated long-term or high-dose PPI exposure associated with increased new-onset AMI risk in patients without a history of any ischemic heart disease.
