Years after bariatric surgery, patients had sustained weight loss and similar quality of life improvements regardless of whether they had laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) —currently the favored procedure—or laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB), according to results from a randomized equivalence trial.
