Comments On: Andrzej Grzybowski, Piotr Brona, Luis Zeman and Michael W. Stewart: Commonly used intracameral antibiotics for endophthalmitis prophylaxis: A literature review

We have read with considerable interest the article entitled “Commonly used intracameral antibiotics for endophthalmitis prophylaxis: A literature review,” by Grzybowski and associates [6]. The article describes the risks and adverse events related to the use of the three most common intracameral (IC) antibiotics: moxifloxacin, cefuroxime, and vancomycin. We are grateful to the authors for their excellent work and would like to contribute further in terms of the adverse events associated with the IC moxifloxacin, including bilateral acute iris transillumination (BAIT), bilateral acute depigmentation of the iris (BADI), and toxic anterior segment syn drome (TASS).
