5-lipoxygenase- and Glucocorticoid-dependent eosinophilia in a novel surgical model in mice.

CONCLUSION: These findings document glucocorticoid-, allergen- and 5-lipoxygenase-dependent eosinophilia, which makes EWIp carriers an abundant source of pure, nontransgenic eosinophils for immunopharmacological studies.
