Longitudinal multicenter retrospective cohort study of treatment outcomes in extramammary Paget's disease. Br J Dermatol. 2021 Feb 06;: Authors: Liu KX, Huang V, Chen CA, Elco CP, Chen ST, Stern RS, Wu PA Abstract Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) is a rare, usually intraepithelial, cutaneous adenocarcinoma morphologically and histologically similar to mammary Paget's arising in areas outside of the lactiferous tissue. Management options include wide local excision (WLE) or Mohs surgery; radiotherapy, photodynamic therapy, laser ablation, topical therapies, and systemic chemotherapy.1 Regardless of therapy, disease recurrence is common and problematic.2,3 While large database studies have examined mortality rates for various populations of EMPD patients;4,5 longitudinal experience of patients with EMPD, including treatment-free survival (TFS), remains not well-understood.
