Conclusion The GDPR and the WBGO safeguard patients' rights regarding the use of personal data. Uncertainty about the legal framework and technological possibilities add to the complexity of innovations to promote the exchange of information between practitioners, while the added value is seen by those involved and in comparable innovations.
