Eversion endarterectomy of the external iliac artery in treating chronic limb-threatening ischemia in TASC II C and D iliofemoral occlusive disease
Iliofemoral occlusive arterial disease treatment includes open and endovascular surgical techniques. An endovascular approach has been associated with lower invasiveness and morbidity. However, extensive occlusive disease TASC II C and D are a challenging disorders for an endovascular approach, especially when there is common femoral artery (CFA) involvement.1-5 In this current endovascular era, efforts have been made to overcome these limitations and hybrid procedures, including endovascular iliac revascularization and open femoral endarterectomy have been established6,7.
