Re: “Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound Evaluation of Renal Blood Perfusion Changes After Percutaneous Transluminal Renal Angioplasty and Stenting for Severe Atherosclerotic Renal Artery Stenosis” (Ran et al. Ultrasound Med Biol 2020;46:1872–1879)
I read with interest the article by Ran et al. (2020) in a recent issue of Ultrasound in Medicine& Biology. However, some considerations are mandatory. The authors used contrast-enhanced ultrasound to evaluate renal cortical blood flow changes in 21 patients with ≥70% renal artery stenosis treated with percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty and stenting (PTRAS).
