Commentary

I read with great interest the article from Aru, et al. regarding a novel technique for upper extremity access during complex endovascular aortic cases. Their technique utilizing open access to the axillary artery via a lateral approach is a welcomed addition to the literature, especially with their excellent procedural success and outcomes. With multiple devices currently available, and upcoming, the need for multiple approach techniques is going to continue to be prudent for successful outcomes.
