Longitudinal data of neuropsychological profile in a cohort of duchenne muscular dystrophy boys without cognitive impairment
It has long been known that Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a disorder leading not only to muscle wasting, but also often associated with neuropsychological difficulties, such as a non-progressive cognitive impairment [1,2], language involvement [3,4], and deficits in executive functions [5], with a negative impact on both academic skills [6-9] and psycho-social functioning.
