Building a Stronger, More Sustainable U.S. Economy

Alongside its devastating effects on human health, the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a catastrophic toll on the U.S. economy. Approximately 12 million Americans are unemployed, thousands of businesses have shut down — many permanently — and hunger and homelessness are on the rise. The economic fallout is disproportionately affecting low-income adults and families and minority communities, greatly impacting these vulnerable members of our society the most.
