Discrimination and Multimorbidity Among Black Americans: Findings from the National Survey of American Life

ConclusionsWe found strong evidence to suggest that discrimination was associated with greater odds of reporting multimorbidity. Future studies can expand on these findings using longitudinal data to capture the relations between discrimination and health over time, or by testing preventive interventions that allay the damaging health effects of discrimination.
