Centre to buy 70 million Covid-19 vaccine doses for its first vaccination phase

The government has already placed an order for 11 million doses from Serum Institute. In addition, 550,000 doses have been ordered from Bharat Biotech. The order to Pune-based Serum Institute is priced at ₹220 for one dose of the injection and that to Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech is at ₹309, inclusive of taxes.
