Rex Healthcare to freeze pension plans

Rex Healthcare will freeze its pension plans effective March 31. The move will affect about half of Rex's 5,600 employees. In a note to all employees, Sylvia Hackett, the Rex vice president of Human Resources & The Rex Healthcare Foundation told employees that the nonprofit hospital's contribution increased from $13 million to $17.3 million this year.
