Commentary from the Editor

It has been a memorable year for the world, and for Neuromuscular Disorders. Against the backdrop of global turmoil that Covid-19 brought with it, Victor Dubowitz, founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal, stepped down from the editorship at the end of September after 30 years ’ devotion to it. Victor Dubowitz was the driving force behind the foundation of the journal, after a weekend meeting in Bologna with Luciano Merlini and Giovanni Nigro and launched at the International Congress of Neuromuscular Diseases in Munich in the autumn of 1990 with a group of colleagues i nvited to form the editorial board.
