The neuropsychology of statin intolerance

Nature Reviews Cardiology, Published online: 06 January 2021; doi:10.1038/s41569-020-00502-3Statin nocebo effects have been demonstrated in numerous randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled and active-controlled trials. Evidence-based pain-management approaches can be used to manage nocebo symptoms that occur during statin therapy.
