Fetal sheep supports the development of hematopoietic cells in vivo from human iPSCs
De novo generation of human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) with long-term engrafting capacity and multilineage differentiation potential has been a long ‐standing goal for both fundamental researches of hematopoietic ontology and potential clinical applications [1-4]. Multiple protocols for the production of pluripotent stem cell (PSC)-derived hematopoietic cells have been developed including timed addition of cytokines and morphogens, co-culture with mouse stromal cells, embryoid bodies and the combination of these [5-10].
