Self versus partnered epinephrine autoinjector training, performance differences in an anaphylaxis simulation

Epinephrine, often delivered through an autoinjector, remains the mainstay of treatment for anaphylaxis.1 Delays in epinephrine autoinjector (EAI) administration by caregivers and patients are common.2,3 Access to medication, difficulty recognizing anaphylaxis, and insufficient training contribute to injection delays.3 Fear of harm is an additional factor, notably among parents of children with food allergies, even when they know it could be life-saving.3-5
