The effect of polyunsaturated fatty acid deficiency on allergic response in ovalbumin-immunized mice
This study examined the effect of a PUFA-deficient diet on food-allergy symptoms in ovalbumin (OVA)-immunized mice. The exacerbation of immune responses after OVA-sensitization was not observed in mice fed a PUFA-deficient diet. There were no differences in serum PUFA levels between OVA-immunized and non-immunized mice fed a PUFA-deficient diet.
