My mama had endometriosis

Endometriosis continues to wear “many hats” in the lives of women and the physicians who care for them. Not referenced here is the progress that has been made in understanding the pathophysiology of the disease and the pain and infertility that result. The article by Tuominen et al. compares obstetrical outcomes in a relative ly large number of women presenting with rectovaginal endometriosis (RVE) (1). On review of the literature, there are studies highlighting specific pregnancy outcomes from women with RVE and comparing reproductive success in women with RVE treated with either conservative management or surgery, but none specifically comparing pregnancy outcomes from patients with RVE receiving either surgery or conservative management.
