Join the Society's National Obesity Database Steering Committee

Applications are open for the Society for EndocrinologyNational Obesity Database Steering Committee. The Society, in partnership with Somerset NHS Foundation trust has been awarded a Novo Nordisk Healthcare Organisation Grant to develop, set up and rollout a Tier 3 National Obesity Database. The steering committee Chaired by Professor John Wass will meet up to 3 times a year (initially for a 3 year period) to:Oversee the database study management group to ensure that the database is developed, set up and rolled out to Tier 3 NHS services on time.Sign off on the yearly annual report.Determine who is able to have access to the anonymised data generated by the National Obesity Database.Sanction which studies can be linked to the database.We are recruiting these healthcare professionals with a specialist interest in obesity:A physicianA dietitianA psychologistA nurseFind out more about theproject. Please send your CV and a covering letter toclinical@endocrinology.org outlining why you are interested in this position and the skills and expertise you could contribute to the steering committee. The closing date for applications is8 January 2021. Successful candidates are expected to attend their first meeting in February 2021. If you would like additional information or have any questions, please emailclinical@endocrinology.org to arrange an informal discussion.
