SCCT: a growing community

Over the past decade we witnessed the maturation of cardiac CT into an essential diagnostic test in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease. In various clinical contexts, care providers have recognized the value of noninvasive coronary imaging in the diagnostic work up of patients with suspected coronary artery disease, based on strong scientific evidence from around the world. In addition, novel minimally invasive interventions for structural heart disease rely on cardiac CT for selection of suitable candidates and the planning of procedures.
