For over 30 years, Dr José Moya has worked in the fi eld since his initial position as head of epidemiology in Ayacucho, in his home country of Peru. His journey into global health began with Doctors Without Borders in Guatemala, Mozambique and Nigeria. Later at PAHO, he was Permanent Representative in Venezuela, after earlier postings as an epidemiologist in Haiti, Mexico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Argentina.
