The Obesity Series

The NSTA ' s obesity series provides a more  in-depth overview of the increasing issue of obesity not only in the UK, but globally. This 6 part series provides an opportunity to hear from leading experts in their respective areas of obesity research. From childhood obesity, through to the effects of obesity on ageing, whilst also debating whether society or the individual is responsible for the issue of obesity, and essentially what needs to be done to reduce the increasing prevalence including lectures from: -  Childhood Obesity: How do we tackle the major public health issue?, Dr Laura Stewart  - Supporting teenagers living with obesity, Professor Paul Gately- Type 2 diabetes: from physiology to management, Dr Nicola Guess  - New obesity plans: what needs to be done?, Professor Susan Jebb  -  Obesity world-wide. What can be done, and where does responsibility lie – with individuals or society?, Professor John Prins -Obesity and the ageing brain: what are the risks?, Professor Louise Dye  Each webinar in the series is £25 for members or £30 for non-members.
