Posture Dependent Hypoxia Following Lobectomy: The Achilles Tendon of the Lung Surgeon?

CONCLUSIONS: Platypnoea-Orthodeoxia Syndrome after lobectomy is a rare cause of post-operative dyspnea/hypoxia. It is the result of right-to-left shunt via an interatrial communication.
