An unexpected lateral spreading lesion detected during colonoscopy

A 79-year-old male presented with diffuse abdominal pain and constipation. His-medical history included hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Physical examination revealed no abdominal distention and normal bowel sounds. Laboratory tests showed mild normocytic anemia (Hb 12.8  g/dL). Colonoscopy revealed a lateral spreading lesion in the transverse colon measuring25 mm, with redness areas but without surface or vascular changes.
