Effect of Preoperative Oral Carbohydrate Administration on Patients Undergoing Cesarean Section with Epidural Anesthesia: A Pilot Study.
CONCLUSIONS: Preoperative administration of CHO decreases postoperative insulin resistance and enhances pregnant women's comfort, leading to a reduced sense of thirst, hunger, and anxiety during the preoperative period for Cesarean section.
