Associations between HIV, antiretroviral therapy, and preterm birth in the women ’s interagency HIV study, 1994-2018

The extent to which HIV and antiretroviral therapy (ART) increase the risk of preterm birth (PTB) remains to be fully defined. We evaluated the effects of HIV on PTB, and ART on PTB in the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) / Women ’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS).
