Using thinprep ® pap smear samples to evaluate sexually transmitted infection screening practices

Pap smear samples run through transcription-mediated amplification technology could enable efficient, accurate, and robust screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in women. The study objective was to evaluate the use of ThinPrep ® samples obtained during Pap tests as a screening tool for STIs.
