Melanoma metastatic to the hyoid bone

Metastatic melanoma may be included in the differential diagnosis of hyoid massess in patients with a history of melanoma. Hyoid resection is well tolerated and of diagnostic and therapeutic benefit in patients with tumors metastatic to the hyoid bone.
