Autotaxin Activity Predicts 30-Day Mortality in Sepsis Patients and Correlates With Platelet Count and Vascular Dysfunction

Conclusions: Platelet count, the ratio of angiopoietin-2/1, and autotaxin activity all predicted 30-day mortality. Autotaxin activity within the plasma correlates with both platelet counts and vascular dysfunction biomarkers across both survivors and non-survivors indicating a possible involvement of autotaxin within sepsis.
