Platelet activation in situ in breasts at high risk of cancer: relationship with mammographic density and estradiol.

CONCLUSIONS: Breast density, not estradiol, is the major determinant of local platelet activation. Inactivation of platelets may be a therapeutic strategy for cancer prevention in postmenopausal women with dense breasts. PMID: 33180937 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
